Books

Books…books…books…books…books.

Big books, little books, middle size books.

Books about boys, books about cooks,

Books, books, books!

Books about Moses, books about Musa,

Adventure books, history books, drawing books

Strictly books, kindly books, journal books

Books, books, books!

Shopaholics, Workaholics, Alcoholics, Bookaholics.

Kindlers, e-bookers, audio-bookers, lib’ers,

Books, books, books, books, books.

It’s a world of books.

Books, books, books!

Holy books, story books, comic books.

Books with pictures, only words,

Books, books, books.

English, Japanese, Kiswahili, Greek.

Books, books, books, books, books!

Encyclopedia, Dictionary, Atlas books

Prayer books, Memoirs, Kamusi.

Books, books, books, books, books.

It’s a world of books,

Books, books, books!

I want to be 20 again and have a tiny little waist that 20″, a flat stomach and killer sharp dress sense strictly in jeans.

I want to be 20 again, and go out dancing from dusk to dawn then still get to class bright and early the following morning, my creed being work hard party harder.

I want to be 20 again and travel the world on a whim.

I want to be 20 again and think only about keeping my grades up and looking fantastic for my next hot date.

I want to be 20 again and have hours to while away with my friends.

I want to be 20 again and, believing the world is my oyster, have so much to look forward to every day.

I want to be 20 again, full of youthful impatience and bursting with enthusiasm to embrace all that life has to offer.

I want to be 20 again with bright eyes brimming with curiosity and a spirit unblemished by heartbreak.

I want to be 20 again bubbling with vigor and ready to dive into the cornucopia that is life’s experiences.

I want to be 20 again and dare!

I don’t know if I’m tripping

Or  if my biological clock’s ticking

Today is mothers’ day

And everywhere I look

I see cute children

I’m going on 28 on the 28th of  May;

God willing

And I wonder if I’m wandering

Husband, baby, maybe…

Haven’t become this many mothers’ days since

Well, as they say…

There’s always next mothers’ day.
